Our Mission and Story

Sam taught 7th grade English and knew there had to be a better way to find literature that was relevant, meaningful, and accessible to all of her students. She attended Startup Weekend EdTech Denver where she met Christine, Eric, Evan, and Kay. Brought together by shared passions for literature and equity in education, this team of technologists and education professionals built Novela to support teachers in making sure all students get to see themselves in the stories read and studied in school.
